RationalExponents and Radical Test Review

So... Test #2 is on Friday!

Tests are cummulative. That means it will cover polynomial simplification, rational exponent simplification, and radical simplification.

I was looking through the other PC20S blog that I have linked on our blog and found a few websites that the teacher put together for his students to review the rational exponents and radical material. I put a link to this post specifically under "Math Help" on the side bar on the right ("Rational Exponents and Radicals"). If your notes are incomplete or unclear, it's worth checking out. There are even some videos you can watch using RealPlayer of a lady working through some examples!

How should you study for a test? Besides using some of the strategies VARK suggested that are specific to your learning style preference, you could:
  1. Re-work through class examples: Write out only the questions, close your book, find a solution, and then check your work step by step against the work done in class;

  2. Re-work through questions that you struggled with in the homework: Don't forget about those word problems! Come to math help if you still need some assistance with these.

  3. Don't assume you'll remember material that you haven't worked through in a while: Remember the curve of forgetting.
You have been working really hard at keeping up with the homework assignments since the last test and have been asking a lot of questions in class- this will help you too! Keep plugging away at it!
