Word Problems on Friday the 13th

Kyle's Scribe Post:

Today we worked on the section in the book "rad. division" that we worked on in the previous class. Miss Nicholson showed us how to answer number 5. We also did question 6. In this question you need to find:

Areashaded region = Arearectangle - 2Areacircle

To find the area of the rectangle you need to times Length times Width

Then Miss Nicholson showed us how to find the area of 2 circles by 2(πr2)
and then we went through the rest of the question.

Kyle- looks like you created a blog rather than creating a post. To create a post, you need to sign in to blogger, choose our blog from the screen that opens, and then select "new post."

Don't forget to re-read, edit, and then re-read your post again before publishing it!

I like how you explained how to work out question #6. It would be a big help to your classmates in your scribe post if you would re-write everything step by step so that everyone can have a chance to re-read and re-practise the material.

By the way, to make a subscript in HTML, you do the same thing that I explained in making exponents except you type "sub" instead. (See the link in the sidebar "How to make Exponents" for more help with this.) Try it and preview your post before you publish it to make sure it's worked!

Have a great weekend!
